For almost 20 years, many Roland Atelier home organ hobbyists involved in music making have enthusiastically purchased many EZ Play Today music books from Hal Leonard Publishing. These music books offer the hobbyist an easy way to read printed music. The EZ Play Today music books come in enlarged print with the name of the note written inside of it. This allows the hobbyist to easily read the music, as long as the home organ player can read English. These music books come in a Fake Book format, meaning that the EZ Play Today music book contains the melody, chord symbols and lyrics. Currently, there are over 200 music book titles available. Anything from Bach to Norah Jones.

Once the Roland Organ owner gets home to play the songbook, the next step is to setup their Roland Atelier Organ. Many hobbyists have difficulty setting up their instrument to play that songbook. The first place the hobbyist looks is at the suggested rhythm and registration that these EZ Play Today music books provide. Unfortunately, these suggestions would make the Roland Organ hobbyist sound like an amateur. Who wants to sound like an amateur? The second place the hobbyist would go to set up their Roland Organ, would be to their Music Assistant or One Touch Program feature. This is a big improvement but, these features never fully utilize the advanced features of the Roland Atelier Organ. Who doesn’t want to use “all” their instrument? This is where EZee-Pro comes in! It’s a great way to enjoy yourself, and sound like a “pro” on any Roland Atelier Organ with presets.

This product is sold in conjunction with the EZ Play Today Music Books sold by Hal Leonard Publishing. This software and sticker product allows the hobbyist to set up their Roland Organ easily, by loading a group of registrations into their Roland Atelier that will give the customer a polished sound. The customer will load the appropriate set of registrations from a floppy disk or stick, based on the suggestion on the back cover of the EZ Play Today book. In addition, each song will be clearly marked with the same information with a self-adhesive label . Once playing, the organ hobbyist can use up to all 12 presets. Sometimes, the Roland Organ hobbyist needs to listen to an example of the song for them to perform. That is why each song from that EZ Play Today music book, is also recorded. Depending on the Roland Atelier model, the customer could “score” out the music to watch when certain sounds are added or changed. This can give the customer an idea of how to perform the song on their own. Another benefit for the customer is the fact that these tracked recordings can be manipulated to mute the melody, so the customer can actually play the song with just one hand.

“Welcome to EZee-Pro, a great way to enjoy yourself, and sound like a pro on any Roland Atelier! The enclosed floppy disk is available in an “AT-R”, “AT-S”, “American Classic”, or “Next Generation” format. Optimal enjoyment and sound occurs with any Atelier with 12 presets. There are 6 files on this floppy disk. The first 3 sets are a mix of instrumental and organ sounds. The remaining 3 are custom arrangements that are song specific! Each song will have a suggested set of registrations and a starting preset. In addition to the registrations, all 19 songs have been recorded using the suggested starting preset. This allows you to listen to the song before you give it a try or simply be entertained. You will load the appropriate set of registrations based on the suggestion on the back cover. In addition, each song will be clearly marked with the same information. Be sure to press and hold the starting preset until all rhythms are flashing. This will give you the suggested rhythm and the amount of orchestration. Next, you will want to turn on your “Sync Start” and “Intro”(optional) buttons. Hit your first chord and your off! Once playing, you can use all 12 presets. As for the 3 custom arrangements that are song specific, press the number 1 preset and begin playing. You will not see all the rhythms flashing. The introduction will begin as soon as you play your first chord. These custom arrangements have 4 presets.

Each preset has many custom features programmed. Chord Intelligence is turned on. All “Others” and “Alternates” have secondary voices, so you can mix and match yourself, or go with the preset registration. Solo to Lower is turned on a majority of the time. The Manual Percussion button is always on, so you can add your own little flair to the piece. Volume levels are balanced. Foot switches are custom programmed, so you might want to dig into your Utility/Quick Guide to find out what they do. For those with a Next Generation/Artist Series series Atelier, the D Beam has been programmed on. By chance, if you do not like the suggested rhythm, simply choose your own rhythm! You will still be able to use all 12 presets from that group.”
